Help Motivation Bloom: Evidence-Based Strategies for You and Our Students

April 30 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In this session, participants will explore the science behind motivation and how it applies to both personal productivity and student engagement. Drawing on key evidence-based research we will examine what drives motivation—and what gets in the way. We will identify common barriers to motivation in our daily work and teaching environments, and learn how to cultivate motivation—whether supporting students, collaborating with colleagues, or managing your own work responsibilities.

Participants will leave with practical ideas to enhance motivation, improve engagement, and create conditions where both they and their students can thrive.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify related theories from motivation research
  • Discuss barriers to motivation in personal, work, and/or classroom settings
  • Identify how you can improve student (or your own) motivation in work or the classroom
