January 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This session introduces faculty to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework — a research-based approach that proactively designs learning experiences to meet the needs of all learners. Participants will explore how UDL promotes equitable access, flexibility, and inclusivity in both face-to-face and online learning environments.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the core principles of Universal Design for Learning and their relevance in health professions education.
  • Identify barriers to learning in their courses and align them with UDL guidelines.
  • Discuss at least two UDL strategies to increase engagement, representation, or action/expression in their instructional materials or assessments.
