Webinar | Character and Leadership Education: Why Some Institutions Are Going All In

April 1 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

As higher education confronts profound questions about its value and purpose, some institutions are reexamining a foundational question: What kind of graduates are we trying to shape? One result: Leadership and character education is experiencing a resurgence nationwide. And some institutions are moving beyond standalone courses or centers to weave leadership and character into the fabric of campus life.

In this Inside Higher Ed virtual event, campus leaders and other experts—including those behind a nationwide initiative begun at Wake Forest University—will discuss why this kind of education matters, how its effectiveness can be measured and how to make it stick. Join us for a candid, forward-looking conversation about whether and how leadership and character education is becoming an institutional priority.

Topics include:

  • Preparing students for the workforce
  • Bridging differences and decreasing polarization

  • Cultivating human intelligence in the AI age
  • Advancing the mission of higher education
