A history of Haptics and VR
October 8, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The talk is a brief walk through the history of haptics and VR as well as a look at where we stand with VR and haptics right now and where it is going. We will also have a demonstration of several use cases for VR and haptics in medical and other fields and VRgluv’s cutting edge haptic gloves. Then open up to have a conversation and dialog about how VR and haptics will affect medical and other types of training.
Chris Taylor is the founder and CEO of VRgluv. VRgluv makes force-feedback gloves for VR training that let users touch and feel objects in VR. Chris is a serial entrepreneur with a background in mechatronics and robotics. He has started 3 companies and spent the past 4 years of his life obsessing about haptics, VR, and bringing a sense of touch to the digital world.
