Building Course Structure with the Bricks of Engagement

In this session, participants will learn how creating structured interactions within online and in-person courses can be beneficial to students and increase their engagement. In addition to this, this session will describe how structure can help reduce cognitive load for students and assist with inclusivity in the classroom. 

Session Objectives: 

• Define structure and describe the ways it can be used to increase student engagement 
• List and explain examples of using structure to navigate group work 
• Explain how structure can help establish productive and inclusive remote interactions
