Developing Digital Skills of Health Sciences Students: A Case Study

Join us in a facilitated session as we listen to Winston-Salem State University Physical Therapy faculty discuss how they are helping develop their students’ (and their own) digital skills.  Students participate in a video documentary project with the following objectives:

• Apply digital literacy skills to create an educational product
• Empathize with the daily challenges of an adult with a chronic neurologic condition
• Communicate with emotional intelligence to convey an understanding of limitations and its impact on a purposeful life

We’ll round things off with impressions and experiences of the current state of digital literacy and fluency, innovative ways we might develop them, and the available creative and technical resources currently available at WesternU.
