Faculty Learning Community (FLC) – on Grit and the Growth Mindset

WHAT: A supportive environment where faculty can: present current active learning techniques and practices; discuss challenges and obstacles in developing active learning strategies; brainstorm solutions to challenges; develop collegiate relationships.

WHO: Any faculty interested in creating learning experiences that engage the students in an observable way (e.g. problem solving, discussion, role playing).

FORMAT: Each session will begin with a faculty volunteer discussing an active learning strategy that they currently use. Discussion will follow which will include feedback, problem solving, suggestions for further development.
