Micro-Learning: Confirmation Testing: A Statistical Approach to the Comparison of Remote, Unproctored Examinations to Follow-up (“Confirmatory” or “Verification”) Tests

This 30 minute microlearning will provide information on one alternative to proctored exams while using remote/distance learning. Confirmation testing uses the method of an unproctored exam/assessment while in the remote/distance setting, and then compares student performance on a subset of questions when they return to campus.

Learning objectives:
1. Discuss the concerns regarding unproctored exams/assessments
2. List alternatives to proctored exams/assessments
3. List and describe the purpose and elements of confirmation testing
4. Discuss the benefits, drawbacks and limitations of confirmation testing/assessments
