Organize Meetings, Projects, and Tasks: A Practical Guide to OneNote

March 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Information is often scattered across emails, documents, sticky notes, and multiple platforms. This interactive workshop explores how Microsoft OneNote can serve as a professional command center for faculty and staff. Participants will learn the core structure of OneNote, build a functional notebook tailored to their role, and explore simple integrations with Microsoft 365 tools. The focus is practical, foundational, and immediately applicable — helping attendees leave with a usable system they can continue refining after the session.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the core components of OneNote’s structure (Notebook, Section, Page, Subpage).
  • Explain how OneNote’s notebook structure can be used to organize work-related information for a specific use case (e.g., meetings, projects, or resources).
  • Use at least one OneNote workflow feature to capture information from daily work
  • Create a new notebook and set up at least three role-relevant sections (e.g., Meetings, Tasks, Resources).
