There’s a new category of literature regarding teaching & learning, it’s called Mind/Brain/Education or MBE. The book “Neuroteach: Brain Science and the Future of Education” describes this new evidence-informed genre. The book also discusses effective and not-so-effective teaching methods that leverage the body of knowledge regarding brain anatomy and physiology. Of particular interest to most educators is “The Top Twelve Research-Informed Strategies Every Teacher Should Be Doing with Every Student”. During this presentation, we will recap the major points discussed in the book and review the Top 12 list.
