Tips for Planning and Designing Learning Events

Planning a lesson can be tedious and confusing when you don’t have a framework for lesson structure in place. In this session, participants will be given tips for lesson planning and designing learning events. There are many methods to lesson planning and this session will review examples of some innovative and well-known approaches to lesson design.

Session Objectives: 

• Introduce lesson design structure and concepts of chunking 
• Describe various approaches to lesson design  
• Provide lesson structure examples for designing learning events
