CAPE is excited to announce a new series of discussion workshops exploring the application of learning theories in the health sciences education classroom. Each month we’ll be exploring a short piece of educational research that applies a learning theory to educational practice in the health sciences. We’ll briefly summarize the background theory and article before diving into a discussion of useful applications for faculty members here at WesternU.
This month we will discuss social learning theory as applied to clinical modeling behavior in health sciences students. This month’s selected article looked at just that, as applied to the modeling of professionalism in preclinical education. ‘
