Gearing Up with Google: Using Google Tools for Online Collaboration and Engagement

In this workshop, we’ll explore apps in Google’s suite of educational tools. We’ll look at how these FREE tools can be used both in and out of the classroom. Whether you want to engage students, collaborate with coworkers, or easily share info online, this workshop is for you. We’ll cover a range of tools, from Google Docs and Sheets to Google Slides and Jamboard, and discuss ways to incorporate them into your work day. Come gear up for Google greatness as we get comfy creating and collaborating with these tools.

Workshop Objectives:

• Learn how to use Google Docs for collaborative assignments, managing group work, and creating quick web content.  
• Discover the power of Google Sheets for collecting and organizing information, tracking attendance, and creating calendars and To Do lists 
• Learn how Google Slides can be used for interactive presentations, break out activities, and digital publications
• Experience Google Jamboard, an interactive whiteboard platform, for brainstorming and live feedback
