Get to know OSCQR—The Course Evaluation Rubric
February 10, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Created by a team of educators from SUNY (The State University of New York), the OSCQR rubric is used as a customizable tool for online quality course review. From the SUNY website, the OSCQR rubric is described as “unique and differs from other online course quality rubrics in several ways. It is not restricted to mature online courses. The rubric can be used formatively with new online faculty to help guide, inform, and influence the design of their new online courses, and it is non-evaluative.”
In this session, the CETL Instructional Designers will take learners through the various criteria within the OSCQR rubric and will describe the process of online course review and evaluation.
Learning Objectives:
- List and describe the criteria within the OSCQR rubric.
- Describe the Action Plan section of the rubric and how it is used.
- Describe and discuss the process of online course review and evaluation, including the process of creating an action plan.
