Planning for a successful IRB Approval

The Institutional Review Board has an important role in all human subjects, research and facilitates the researcher’s success. Part of the process requires obtaining appropriate approval to the study’s launch. This presentation will highlight the IRB process and provide strategies for successful IRB approval.

At the end of this lecture, participants will be able to:
1. Articulate the role of the IRB in human subjection protection
2. Identify the researcher’s role in preparing the IRB application
3. Anticipate common causes that lead to delayed IRB approval
