Universal Design for Learning (UDL) – A Framework for Good Teaching

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning. It provides students with flexible learning opportunities and is designed to accommodate students’ individual learning differences while providing them with equal opportunities to learn and succeed.  

This informational training will provide participants with an overview of UDL and offer guidance on how to use UDL principals within a classroom setting. 

Session Objectives: 

1. Define and explain Universal Design for Learning and how it is used to meet students’ needs. 
2. Review the principals of Universal Design for Learning 
3. Provide instructional strategies for incorporating UDL in the classroom setting.
