Have you ever suspected a student of plagiarizing, but weren’t sure? Because of this doubt, you didn’t confront them. How can you tell if work has been plagiarized? Where can you check to be sure? At the end of this workshop, faculty will be able to:
- Explain why plagiarism is a serious issue that affects everyone at WesternU
- Describe at least 5 “shades” of plagiarism
- Identify at least 5 red flags for plagiarism
- Identify at least 3 sources to check for plagiarized material
