The Digital Divide is the access to and the hardware of online resources and tools that students will use. This divide became more prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic and remote learning. This session is based on The 7 Things You Should Know About… series from the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) which provides a quick and concise overview of a single topic for time-pressed colleagues.
Learning Objectives:
– Define the digital divide
– Explain how the digital divide affects students
– Discuss how the digital divide issue can be met by faculty and staff.
