Health misinformation spreads rapidly, leading to confusion and potentially harmful decisions, which can pose a significant risk to public health. This interactive online workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills to identify medical misinformation and apply evidence-based strategies to combat misinformation and prevent its spread. Participants will engage in discussions and activities to practice these skills.
After attending this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the complexity of the spread of medical misinformation online
- Evaluate medical claims to determine accuracy
- Apply evidence-based strategies to combat and debunk medical misinformation
