The current research in neuroscience and cognitive psychology shows us that active learning provides better learning outcomes as compared to using only the traditional lecture format. Come learn a few quick easy ways to incorporate active learning into your class and head toward better learning outcomes. A handout will be provided from the University of Michigan Center for Research on Learning and Teaching that provides a continuum of active learning activities.
